The Center Moriches School District is moving forward with its Smart School Improvement Plan. This plan utilizes funding from the New York State Smart Schools Bond Act to improve technology and security in the district.

The Technology Committee presented the plan to the Board of Education and the community at the November 19th, 2015 Board of Education meeting. After the presentation, the Board voted to support the Preliminary Smart Schools Improvement Plan. It was then placed on the District’s website and opened for comments by the community.

At the Board of Education meeting on January 27th, a Public Hearing was held on the Preliminary Smart School Improvement Plan. After the Public Hearing the Board passed a resolution approving the Smart School Improvement Plan.

Comments and questions from the Public Hearing may be found in the Board of Education minutes on the District’s website.
