NYS COMPTROLLER GIVES CENTER MORICHES SCHOOL DISTRICT HIGH MARKS FOR LOW FISCAL STRESS

Great News!
Once again the Center Moriches School District’s fiscal health has been given another vote of confidence by the Office of the New York State Comptroller (OSC).  According to the recently released report by the OSC, the Center Moriches School District scored 13.3 percent and continues to have “no designation” of fiscal stress.  This designation is one of the lowest indicators of fiscal stress among the state’s school districts.  The Fiscal Stress Monitoring System Report measures the school district’s ability to manage fiscal challenges, taking into account the district’s budget management, fund balances and debt.  According to OSC, any score below 25 percent is considered “no designation” meaning the district is not even “susceptible” to fiscal stress.
