21st Century Information and Communication Technology Literacy Map for Geography

In collaboration with several content area organizations, the Partnership for 21st Century Skills developed a series of ICT Literacy Maps illustrating the intersection between Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Literacy and core academic subjects including English, mathematics, science and social studies (civics/government, geography, economics, history). The maps enable educators to gain concrete examples of how ICT Literacy can be integrated into core subjects, while making the teaching and learning of core subjects more relevant to the demands of the 21st century.

Great stories related to current topics. Contains related primary document and multimedia sources and lesson plans. Registration required.

Bill of Rights Institute 

Free weekly e-lessons on the founding principals of America and their connection to students' lives as well as lessons based on primary source documents. Multimedia resources on 12 of America's Founders. Read texts of founding documents such as the Declaration of Independence and Supreme Court cases relating to the Bill of Rights.

Census in Schools

Lesson plans, maps, teaching guides, and other informational materials to help teachers and students learn about the importance of the Census.

Common Core Standards Initiative Toolkit

Contains the NY State P-12 Common Core Learning Standards and resources to assist in understanding the Common Core Standards.

Copyright Tools
