Policies

Our Board of Education Policy Committee is revising our current policy manual to be aligned with recommendations from the New York State School Board Association (NYSSBA). This review includes an update of policies as well as a renumbering in alignment with common conventions. All policies denoted with an asterisk (*) are policies under review and all policies without an asterisk have had a completed review and have been formally adopted by our Board of Education.

The Center Moriches Board of Education, as part of the Policy Committee, has contracted the New York State School Boards Association (NYSSBA) to conduct a thorough legal review to update all of the District's policies, keeping in line with the District's mission and NYS requirements. As policy drafts are reviewed, they will be made publicly accessible through BoardDocs under the "Policies" drop down to the far right of any main page. The drafts will become part of the Policy Book as they are accepted and adopted by the Board of Education.
