The Center Moriches Union Free School District recently celebrated moving up ceremonies to celebrate their kindergarten- fifth- and- eighth-grade students moving on to higher levels. Clayton Huey Elementary School and Center Moriches Middle honored students for taking the next steps in their educational journeys.
Building and District administration delivered speeches highlighting academic achievement and students performed musical numbers. The students were also presented with awards and certificates marking the end of their journeys in elementary and middle school in front of their family, friends, classmates, and teachers.
“Center Moriches’s students show how hard working and dedicated they are each and every day in our schools,” said Center Moriches Superintendent of Schools Dr. Ricardo Soto. “Moving Up is a day to honor their achievements as we all look forward to seeing what more they might achieve in our schools and beyond.”
