Center Moriches Schools at all three levels welcomed students back for the first day of the 2025–2026 school year on Wednesday, September 3. Students arrived at Clayton Huey Elementary School and Center Moriches Middle and High Schools eager to begin another year of learning.

Students from pre-K through grade 12 were welcomed by Superintendent of Schools Dr. Ricardo Soto, Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Data Management Dr. Jaime Bottcher, building administrators, and staff. The energy was high as students and educators prepared for another year in the Center Moriches School District.

“The first day of school will always be one of the most exciting days of the year,” said Dr. Ricardo Soto. “Students are set to take on new challenges, make new memories, and grow as individuals throughout another spectacular year in the Center Moriches School District.”
