CENTER MORICHES UNION FREE SCHOOL DISTRICT
NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Board of Education of the Center Moriches Union Free School District will hold a Public Hearing on May 6, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. at the Center Moriches School District Office, 529 Main Street, Center Moriches, New York, 11934 in conjunction with the District’s Budget Hearing.

The purpose of this Public Hearing is to consider the withdrawal of funds from the District’s Repair Reserve Fund for necessary, non-recurring repairs. Specifically, the funds will be used for boiler system repairs at Clayton Huey Elementary School, located at 511 Main Street, Center Moriches, New York, and asphalt repairs in the bus lane and rear of the Center Moriches High School, located at 311 Frowein Road, Center Moriches, New York.

The proposed resolution is as follows:

BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Education of the Center Moriches School District hereby authorizes the withdrawal of $58,355.38 from the District’s Repair Reserve Fund, pursuant to General Municipal Law §6-d, for the purpose of funding non-recurring repairs to the boiler system at Clayton Huey Elementary School, located at 511 Main Street, Center Moriches, New York, and asphalt repairs at the Center Moriches High School, located at 311 Frowein Road, Center Moriches, New York.

It is anticipated that the Board of Education will vote on this proposed resolution at the public meeting following the hearing. Said hearing may be adjourned from time to time as necessary.

All interested persons will have an opportunity to be heard.
