NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

School District Safety Plan

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Board of Education of the Center Moriches Union Free School District will conduct a Public Hearing on the proposed 2026-2027 School District Safety Plan on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, during the regular Board of Education meeting beginning at 12:00 p.m. in the District Office Boardroom, 529 Main Street, Center Moriches, New York.

The District-Wide School Safety Plan has been developed in accordance with the Safe Schools Against Violence in Education (SAVE) Law and Commissioner's Regulation §155.17. The plan is intended to ensure the safety, health, and security of students, staff, and visitors by providing a comprehensive framework for prevention, preparedness, response, and recovery in the event of emergencies affecting the Center Moriches Union Free School District.

The public is invited to review the proposed District-Wide School Safety Plan and provide comments at the Public Hearing. Following the required 30-day public comment period, the Board of Education is expected to consider adoption of the plan at its meeting on August 26, 2026.

The proposed District-Wide School Safety Plan will be available for public review on the District's website beginning July 8, 2026, and may also be reviewed at the District Office during regular business hours.
